"Irish Lighthouses" is a potted history of selected lighthouses on the island of Ireland. A brief history of the Commissioners of Irish Lights is given, as is a description of the method of lighthouse funding in Britain and Ireland (a common funding arrangement applying).
Each of the 36 lighthouses featured has a colour photograph and history of its establishment and any relevant facts/stories concerned.
The book is rounded off with a listing of the establishment dates of all lighthouses on the island (including those not featured in the book) and a glossary of technical terms.
