The Tralee & Dingle Railway was another uniquely Irish narrow gauge railway. Running, as its name suggests, between Tralee and Dingle, with a branch to Castlegregory, in its final years, only one train a month ran for cattle conveyance.
Chapters in book cover the history of the railway, three major accidents, a route description, Locomotives, Rolling stock, accounts of the T&DR in writing and a description of the last run over the line of Loco No. 5T. There is also a chapter on the restoration effort and details of what remains of the system today.
This is a well researched publication, profusely illustrated with photographs and is worth obtaining.
