No, I am not being mean about Celbridge - after all, I do live here. Recently (as in 7th July 2008), someone got this bright idea to erect a replica waterwheel in the middle of the roundabout on the Maynooth - Celbridge Road in north Co. Kildare.
In my opinion, this is the worst piece of misguided "art" displays that I have encountered anywhere and I am calling for its removal as having absolutely no relevance to the town whatsoever. Whilst Celbridge does have an industrial heritage past, this is not part of it.
