Station building10 viewsLooking into the station, the deterioration since 1997 is horrendous. Then the canopy was complete, with date plaque. Now it is on the point of collapse.

Track9 viewsTry running a train over that in a hurry. This is an operational railway, if you believe Irish Rail.

Goods store office8 viewsThe undergrowth is taking over in the 2005 scene, not surprising when you consider that IR's "care and maintenance" policy is to leave a line and remove equipment necessary to allow trains to run, thereby ensuring that no trains can run, hence justifying the line's closure.

Station looking west8 viewsIn 2005, they don't even bother to send the weedsprayer. In 2008, they can't, as they have deliberately isolated the line at Limerick by disconnection.

Canopy7 viewsThe props are there to give the pretence that Irish Rail care. Despite being a protected structure, Irish Rail have deliberately let this building go to ruin.

Signal cabin6 viewsWhilst the deterioration from 1997 to 2005 is not that obvious, a look at the chimney reveals that plant life is working its way through the building and left unchecked, will damage the fabric of this protected structure.

Station looking east5 viewsLooking back towards Limerick, this view doesn’t show the serious state that the overall canopy is in.

Water tank5 viewsLocated on the Down side before the station, the makers name can be seen on the side of the tank. This is an unusual structure, as normally the tank is sitting atop a building, making it a water tower.
