Site Description
Level Crossing. There was a two platformed station on the Kingscourt side of the crossing. The former station building, now a private residence, is on the Up side and bears a stone plaque with the inscription "Beauparc 1857". The running line serves the Up platform, on
which was the signal cabin, beside the level crossing. There is a loading bank and site of a siding on the same side on the Drogheda side of the crossing. The crossing here was not authorised, the railway inspecting officer of the day allowing the line to open on the
condition that it be replaced by a bridge. There is no proof that it has been subsequently authorised!
