There are both Up and Down platforms here which previously extended under the road overbridge at the Belfast end of this station, located between the two towns whose names make up its own. The disused signal cabin, closed in 1994 is on the Down side at the Dublin
Connolly end of the station. This is not its original position, the cabin having been moved in 1996 to allow for greater clearance between it and the track. The station building is on the Up side. It contains a ticket office and a waiting room. There is a canopy on each of
the platforms. The former goods area on the Up side is now a car park. There was previously a siding into this. There is additional car parking facilities on the Down side.
