Site Description

Approaching the station, there is a derelict former railway cottage on the Up side. The branch to Howth diverges on the same side immediately before this four platformed station, beside which was the signal cabin. There is a headshunt on the Up branch line before the junction. The signal interlocking and radio aerial are in the hollow between the mainline and the branch. There are ticket offices at ground level on both sides of the line with an internal footbridge connecting all platforms.
