Site Description

Approaching from Belfast, the line from Scarva trailed in on the Up side. There was a turntable and loco shed on the Down side. There were two platforms with a carriage siding in between. On the Up side was the goods store and sidings for East Downshire Steamship Company. The Slieve Donard Hotel, owned by the B&CDR, is on the Down side adjacent to the station and had its own entrance from the station and private siding for coal delivery.
