Site Description

The layout at Dundrum was quite extensive although there was only one platform on the Up side, on which was the station builidng. The signal cabin was on the same side at the Belfast end of the station and was unusually tall. This was to allow the signalman see the level crossing at the Newcastle end of the station. The East Downshire Steamship Company pier was adjacent to the station and was provided with two sidings thereon.
