There is a trailing siding and loading bank for ballast trains on the Down side at the Belfast end of the station. Approaching the station, the line traverses a series of sharp bends, trains being restricted to 40 mph. The disused signal cabin, with nameboard is at the Dublin
end of the station on the Down side beside the 4-barrier level crossing. There are both Up and Down platforms at the station that reopened in 1984, with a disused shelter on the Up side. The station building was on the Down side. There are two crossovers, trailing and
facing to the Down line beyond the station.
