Site Description

The station at Keady became an accidental terminus in 1923 with the closure of the line south to Castleblayney due to the effects of the border. There was an Up platform with the station building on this with a loop on the Down side. Behind this was the extensive goods area. The tunnel for the never built U&CLR ran underneath the southern end of the platform. No trace of the station remains today - a housing estate occupies the site.
